You might notice one of the stories, “The Discovery of Mushrooms that Cause Strange Visions.” 

Curious?

A banker named Gordon Wasson traveled to a rural part of Mexico to investigate these mythical mushrooms. 

He found a shaman named Maria Sabina who reluctantly performed a healing ceremony for him and a photographer. 

Wasson wrote about it in this issue of Life Magazine, which went absolutely VIRAL.

Americans flocked to this part of Mexico!

Maria Sabina became a spiritual legend performing ceremonies for Mick Jaggar, Bob Dylan, and many others. 

But she wanted nothing to do with fame. 

Maria Sabina insisted the ceremony was not supposed to be recreational…but strictly for healing purposes.

It’s a message that is forever relevant.

Healing is a sacred act…always was…always will be.
